If you smile long enough you can actually fool yourself. But your soul knows better. It knows that it needs to heal. I love the quote, “You have to feel it to heal it.” When a person decides its time to be real, they realize that there are walls held so high in attempts to protect the heart that was so hurt. But it’s never too late…and you are worth it! (And your walls can actually come down with a little help!)
I think if there were a list of affirmations issued at birth, a list may look a little something like this:
1. You are unique. No one will ever be like you. Be comfortable with being you as you are.
2. You are enough. No matter what! There is nothing to add, but feel free to expand.
3. Failure is not the end. Do not be embarrassed by failure, learn from it and start again.
4. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive every which way. Forgive him. Forgive her. Forgive God for not doing things the way you want them done. Forgive you for choices you’ve made.
5. Compassion is the ultimate expression to your highest self. Compassion means you see people as people, and not objects or interferences.
6. In the end, as in the beginning: You. Are. Amazing. Enjoy this life to the end!
So how do you start to realize that you enough? Well you have to work at it. Being kind to yourself in everyday life is in in my experience one of the best things you can do for yourself. You will feel happier overall. And your self-esteem and your sense of deserving good things in life will change. To make a positive change with that simply start a new habit today. One of kindness and love towards yourself!
Try it….because you, my friend, ARE enough!
Chances are you may have never heard of the term “Life Coach” before. Some people fear having a ‘coach’ because they “don’t want to know what’s wrong with them.” I have heard that so many times.
But it’s not a matter of what’s wrong, as its more of what’s missing.
That’s a BIG difference!
A life coach is almost like a basketball coach, that teaches you drills, plays both offensively and defensively. The only difference is…the basketball is your life.
A coach is one who can look at you and see the potential for you to achieve all that you desire. Through specific strategies and skills, a life coach helps you define yourself and create the life you envision. Wouldn’t that be great? Think about what it is that you desire to be doing every day, a coach will help you remove blockades to attain those goals!
A coach will help you focus, provide direction, challenge you, support you, motivate you and celebrate with you.
Life coaches help you create a plan with detailed action steps. A coach will hold you accountable for following through.
It should be mentioned that coaches do not counsel or analyze the past. Life coaching is based on the principle that the client has the intrinsic ability to determine and achieve their goals. Everything is based on the present and what you want to achieve moving forward.
Coaches work with all types of clients from people who are full of momentum and want to take life to the next level to people who are stuck and need a coach to nudge them in the right direction.
So, wether you’re a parent struggling to find a balance of being a “fun mom” or a teenager who doesn’t know how to make a decision of what to do next – as a coach, I’m here to help you find the answers within yourself!
